“LA VIDA” Collection, 2023
Throughout my career, I’ve had many collections, but few have been as spontaneous as this one. Interestingly, it was just a single photo session; I didn’t have the energy—or rather, the inspiration—to continue it. In this session, I gathered outfits that I found unique, three canvas artworks, and some accessories I painted myself. I also included a fabric rose bucket that I created especially for the white pearl dress, two painted Paloma Picasso bags that I bought on a trip to New York with my mom, and a blue glass tableware set decorated with fuchsia pink paint.
The photos turned out amazing, as always, thanks to the talent of my dear friend Jackie Gallardo. I love her work. However, at that moment, I didn’t feel free or emotionally ready to share them completely, so I never published the full session.
Over time, I realized I had left something unfinished, and today, I’m finally sharing them. Here are some of those photos that I never posted on my social media back then, but now I want to share them with you—along with the description and theme of the collection.
You can’t skip chapters: Embracing Life’s story
In life, you can’t skip chapters—that’s just not how it works. Every line must be read, every character met, and every moment experienced. Sure, not every chapter will be enjoyable. Some will leave you broken, crying for weeks, wishing you could rewrite the story or close the book altogether. There will be passages you wish you could skim over, and others so beautiful you’ll find yourself desperate to linger, not wanting the pages to run out.
But that’s the thing about life—it’s a story that unfolds line by line, moment by moment. We have no choice but to keep moving forward. And even in the hardest chapters, there’s something to be learned, something to be felt, and something to be cherished.
Stories are what make the world go round. They shape us, connect us, and remind us that every triumph, heartbreak, and quiet moment is a thread in the unique tapestry of our lives. Live your story fully. Don’t miss it. Embrace every page, every twist, and every turn. Because in the end, life is made up of moments—fleeting yet profound—and it’s those moments that make the story worth telling.
A lo largo de mi carrera, he tenido muchas colecciones, pero pocas han sido tan espontáneas como esta. Curiosamente, fue solo una sesión de fotos; no tuve la energía o, mejor dicho, la inspiración para continuarla. En ella reuní atuendos que me parecieron únicos, tres obras sobre lienzo y algunos accesorios pintados por mí, un bucket de rosas de tela que realice especialmente para el vestido de perlas blanco, incluí dos bolsas pintadas de Paloma Picasso que compré en un viaje con mi Mamá a Nueva York y una vajilla de vidrio azul con pintura rosa fiusha para decorarla.
Las fotos quedaron increíbles, como siempre, gracias al talento de mi querida amiga Jackie Gallardo. Adoro su trabajo. Sin embargo, en aquel momento, no me sentía libre ni emocionalmente lista para compartirlas por completo, así que no publique la sesión completa.
Con el tiempo, me di cuenta de que había dejado algo inconcluso, y hoy se las comparto. Aquí están algunas de esas fotos que no subí a mis redes en su momento, pero que ahora quiero compartir con ustedes en conjunto a la descripción y tema de la colección.
No puedes saltarte capítulos: Abrazando la historia de la vida
En la vida, no puedes saltarte capítulos; así no funciona. Cada línea debe leerse, cada personaje debe conocerse y cada momento debe vivirse. Claro, no todos los capítulos serán agradables. Algunos te romperán, te harán llorar durante semanas y desearás poder reescribir la historia o cerrar el libro por completo. Habrá pasajes que querrás pasar por alto y otros tan hermosos que desearás quedarte allí para siempre, temiendo que las páginas se terminen.
Pero esa es la esencia de la vida: es una historia que se desarrolla línea por línea, momento a momento. No tenemos otra opción más que seguir adelante. Incluso en los capítulos más difíciles, hay algo que aprender, algo que sentir y algo que valorar.
Las historias son lo que hace que el mundo siga girando. Nos forman, nos conectan y nos recuerdan que cada triunfo, cada desamor y cada momento tranquilo es un hilo en el tapiz único de nuestra vida. Vive tu historia por completo. No te la pierdas. Abraza cada página, cada giro y cada cambio. Porque, al final, la vida está hecha de momentos, fugaces pero profundos, y son esos momentos los que hacen que la historia valga la pena ser contada.
