“My Art Collections Are the Diary of My Life”

Once, I was asked about my inspiration: Where do I find it? What inspires me? What moves me to create?

My immediate answer was: moments, emotions, and lived experiences.

And while that is true, with time I discovered something deeper: every collection I create is, in reality, a chapter of my personal story.

Art as an Invisible Diary

 

I never planned to expose my life through my artwork, but without realizing it, every emotion, every shift in how I felt, dressed, or even looked physically, was shaping new collections.

As an artist, this realization felt like magic: to understand that my creative process is also an intimate narrative, a diary that MARALOVE writes with strokes, colors, and photographs.

 

My collections are witnesses to my transformations—sometimes sweet, sometimes painful—but always genuine. Because nothing I do is false or fabricated: every piece is living emotion, a real story.

The Value of Telling My Own Story

 

I know there are still chapters I don’t dare to share. I don’t yet have the emotional freedom to fully open them. Maybe I only offer triggers, signals, little glimpses.

And yet, they are still part of my truth. No one else holds this book of life, and knowing this is, for me, pure inspiration.

New Collections: New Pages

 

Even though I haven’t finished sharing Silencios que Hablan, a new collection is already alive within me.

This time it will be different: a free series, expressed only through phrases.

I won’t tell the details, I won’t explain the contexts—because these are stories I’m not ready to share yet—but I do want to reveal the art born from them: images and words that need no explanation beyond pure emotion.

 

I will revisit past moments, transforming them into pieces that reinterpret my journey.

By the end of my life, I know I will have created a unique diary: one written in art, emotions, and memories through MARALOVE.

And that certainty, in itself, is the greatest gift of my creative process.

“Mis colecciones de arte son el diario de mi vida”

En una ocasión me preguntaron acerca de mi inspiración: ¿dónde la encuentro?, ¿qué me inspira?, ¿qué me inspira a crear?

Mi respuesta fue inmediata: vivencias y emociones del momento.

Y aunque es cierto, con el tiempo descubrí que era algo más profundo: cada colección que creo es, en realidad, un capítulo de mi historia personal.

El arte como diario invisible

 

Nunca planeé exponer mi vida en mis obras, pero sin darme cuenta, cada emoción, cada cambio en mi manera de sentir, de vestirme o incluso de verme físicamente, ha ido dando forma a nuevas colecciones.

Como artista, este hallazgo me pareció magia: entender que mi proceso creativo es también una narrativa íntima, un diario que MARALOVE escribe con trazos, colores y fotografías.

 

Mis colecciones son testigos de mis transformaciones —a veces dulces, a veces dolorosas—, pero siempre genuinas. Porque nada de lo que hago es mentira o artificio: cada obra es emoción viva, una historia real.

El valor de contar mi propia historia

 

Sé que aún hay capítulos que no me atrevo a mostrar. No tengo todavía la libertad emocional de abrirlos del todo. Quizá solo comparto detonantes, señales, pequeños destellos.

Aun así, siguen siendo parte de mi verdad. Nadie más tiene este libro de vida, y reconocerlo es, para mí, pura inspiración.

Nuevas colecciones: nuevas páginas

 

Aunque cuando aún no terminaba de compartir Silencios que Hablan, ya una nueva colección late dentro de mí.

Esta vez será distinta: una serie libre, expresada únicamente con frases.

No contaré los detalles, no explicaré contextos —porque son historias que aún quiero guardar en privado—, pero sí quiero compartir el arte que nace de ellas: imágenes y palabras que no necesitan más explicación que la emoción pura.

 

También haré un recuento de momentos pasados, transformándolos en obras que reinterpretan mi propio camino.

Al final de mi vida, sé que habré creado un diario único: un diario escrito en arte, emociones y recuerdos a través de MARALOVE.

Y esa certeza es, en sí misma, el mayor regalo de mi proceso creativo.

Is a deeply personal collection created with spontaneity and honesty. Using materials already in my studio, I allowed the process to flow naturally, letting emotions guide the work. Marked by one of the most difficult years of my life, this collection carries subtle traces of pain, resilience, and connection—expressed through imagery that speaks of both vulnerability and strength.

Was born from an intimate process of introspection and collaboration. What began as a simple title evolved into a story shaped by shared energy, emotion, and presence during the creative process. This collection reflects a journey inward—beyond surface needs—toward the true desires of the soul. It speaks of vulnerability, of giving without always receiving, and of the quiet strength found in reconnecting with oneself.

Nació de un proceso íntimo de introspección y colaboración. Lo que comenzó como un título sencillo se convirtió en una historia formada por la energía, emoción y presencia compartidas durante el proceso creativo. Through feminine figures and subtle gestures, the pieces become visual whispers, inviting reflection, stillness, and emotional connection. Created as an act of healing, this collection offers a safe space where beauty is not explained, but deeply felt.
