“SENTIMENT” Collection, 2024

For this Sentiment 2024 collection, I used a lot of materials I had in my studio and storage. I really wanted something super fluid and natural—completely unstructured. Normally, I carefully plan my photo sessions in advance, searching for new accessories and sources of inspiration. It’s an entire process. But for this collection, which unfolded throughout 2024, I decided to just let things flow.

This particular photo session was deeply emotional—almost overwhelmingly so. To be honest, I’m not even sure if I’m ready to express my feelings about it just yet. Maybe I’ll be able to approach it differently in the future.

What I can say is that 2024 has been the hardest year of my life. I know painful events will continue to happen, but for now, I still carry a deep sorrow in my heart. That emotion is subtly reflected in these photographs, and in collaboration with Ileana—who, wow! conveys her emotions so powerfully as well. We are each on different paths yet somehow intertwined in the same way.

The Journey of Rediscovery: Embracing Life Through Challenges

* In each of the seven scenes, I shared the following message for each photograph:

1/7 "When you walk through life with the naivety of belonging, without knowing that the unexpected is always around the corner, challenges arrive without warning."

2/7 "You have no idea that everything comes at unexpected moments, challenges that you don't know how to overcome because no one prepared you. You prefer to pretend that everything continues and everything is fine."

3/7 "However, those painful moments, filled with sorrow, fear, and resistance, transform you. Little by little, you become colder, more observant. Your soul begins to come face to face with sadness."

4/7 "There comes a point where you show to the world, your outer beauty, is an opposite reflection of what is happening inside you. Even so, everything around you seems immense, full of life, but you don't see it, or maybe you don't want to see it."

5/7 "Then, there's only one option left: to get up, get dressed, and understand that the facade you used at first has a purpose. Because, in the end, nothing makes sense...except the meaning you choose to give it. You must step out of that darkness, walk, or even better yet, run. Run toward that life of harmony that you alone have to create."

6/7 "And on that journey, you discover what you're capable of, everything you've planted, the colors and facets of yourself that you didn't know before. You recognize your potential, and you take pleasure in rediscovering yourself after all that you've been through."

7/7 "You realize that this is your story. You realize that you are alive."

Colección "Sentiment", 2024

Para esta colección Sentiment 2024, utilicé mucho material que tenía en mi estudio y bodega. Realmente quería algo súper fluido y natural, completamente espontáneo. Normalmente, planifico con anticipación mis sesiones de fotos, buscando nuevos accesorios e inspiración. Es todo un proceso. Pero para esta colección, que se desarrolló a lo Largo del año 2024, decidí simplemente dejarme llevar.

Esta sesión de fotos en particular fue profundamente emotiva, casi abrumadora por lo mucho que pasaba en mi vida. Sinceramente, no sé si estoy lista para expresar todo lo que siento al respecto. Tal vez en el futuro lo maneje de otra manera.

Lo único que puedo decir es que 2024 ha sido el año más difícil de mi vida. Sé que seguirán ocurriendo eventos dolorosos, pero por ahora, aún guardo un profundo dolor en mi corazón. Esa emoción se refleja sutilmente en estas fotografías, junto con Ileana, quien ¡Wow!, transmite su sentir de una manera increíble. Cada una de nosotras está en un camino distinto, pero de alguna forma seguimos conectadas con un tema de superar emociones de reto.

El Viaje de Redescubrirte: Abrazando la Vida a Través de los Retos

* En cada una de las siete escenas, compartí el siguiente mensaje para cada fotografía:

1/7 "Cuando caminas por la vida con la ingenuidad perteneces, sin saber que lo inesperado siempre está a la vuelta de la esquina, los retos llegan sin previo aviso."

2/7 "No tienes idea de que todo viene en momentos inesperados, retos que no sabes sobrellevar porque nadie te preparo. Prefieres pretender que todo sigue y todo va bien."

3/7 "Sin embargo, esos momentos dolorosos, cargados de pena, miedo y resistencia, te transforman. Poco a poco, te vuelves más fría, más observadora. Tu alma comienza a acercarse, cara a cara, con la tristeza."

4/7 "Llega un punto en el que tu cuerpo ya no puede más, no puede sostenerse de pie. Lo que muestras al mundo, tu belleza exterior, es un reflejo opuesto de lo que ocurre en tu interior. Aun así, todo a tu alrededor parece inmenso, lleno de vida, pero tú no lo ves, o quizás no quieres verlo."

5/7 "Entonces, solo te queda una alternativa: levantarte, vestirte, y entender que esa fachada que al principio usabas tiene un propósito. Porque, al final, nada tiene sentido...salvo el sentido que tú decides darle. Debes salir de esa oscuridad, caminar, o mejor aún, correr. Correr hacia esa vida de armonía que tú misma tienes que crear."

6/7 "Y en este trayecto, descubres lo que eres capaz, todo lo que has sembrado, los colores y facetas de tu ser que antes no conocías. Reconoces tu potencial, y te deleitas en el placer de conocerte de nuevo, después de todo lo vivido."

7/7 "Te das cuenta de que esta es tu historia. Te das cuenta de que estás vivo."
