“The Importance of Freedom of Expression and Art as a Tool for Social Transformation”
In September 2024, I had the opportunity to participate in an article for WikiMujeres, an experience that made me deeply reflect on the importance of freedom of expression in our daily lives. One of the questions I was asked particularly resonated with me, and the answer I gave made me think about how much our voice influences every aspect of our existence—at work, in our careers as entrepreneurs, and even in our own homes. In the end, what we express is a reflection of who we are and how we present ourselves to the world.
Today, I want to share my response with you, hoping it will also make you reflect on the power and magnitude of our voice in society.

The Influence of the World on Our Creativity
We live in a world full of inspiration, trends, and transformations that often push us into a fictional space where we believe we must follow certain styles or fashions. There are no culprits in this; on the contrary, it is an essential part of understanding our surroundings and closely observing the work of other creatives.
However, it is easy to fall into the trap of copying or taking inspiration incorrectly. To avoid this, the first thing we must do is know ourselves: define our personality, identify what we truly like, and develop our own artistic theory.
Social media and the world move at a dizzying speed; trends appear and disappear in a matter of days. What is popular today will be forgotten tomorrow. In this fast-paced landscape, it is essential to find our voice and be authentic in our creative approach.
Authenticity in a World of Fast Trends
It is fascinating how creatives share content that comes from a very intimate space, but sometimes it does not capture the public’s attention because it does not resemble what is “trending.” For this reason, being free in our creative approach is crucial:
• Being genuine in what we publish.
• Making decisions based on our own initiative.
• Accepting that we won’t always feel inspired, and that’s okay.
Being authentic means not feeling pressured to share something out of social obligation or to maintain a false appearance. It is in this difference where the real power of transformation lies. Returning to the basic and real is more necessary than ever.
Art as a Tool for Healing and Change
Creative freedom should be healing, a process that enhances our artistic perspective without the fear of “falling behind.” Art has the power to transform the world, but only when it flows naturally and spontaneously.
That is why I strive to share only when I truly have something meaningful to say, without following the rules of any social platform. Being authentic not only enriches our personal lives but also has a positive impact on those around us:
• We influence the spaces and environments of others.
• We create more genuine connections.
• Our creations become invaluable because they are unique.
Even if we feel that we lack the experience or expectations of others, we must remember that our work can inspire someone in ways we never imagined. Creative freedom has infinite potential and pushes us to grow without limits.
The Value of Artistic Freedom
For me, being free is what gives my art the most value. It gives me the satisfaction of knowing that what I create is genuine and that my content is an extension of my true self. There is no greater peace of mind than knowing you are yourself without pretending to be someone else.
Creating freely brings us immense rewards: it transforms our surroundings and allows us to leave a mark on the social world.

En septiembre de 2024, tuve la oportunidad de participar en un artículo para WikiMujeres, una experiencia que me hizo reflexionar profundamente sobre la importancia de la libertad de expresión en nuestra vida diaria. Una de las preguntas que me hicieron resonó especialmente conmigo, y la respuesta que di me dejó pensando en cuánto influye nuestra voz en cada aspecto de nuestra existencia: en el trabajo, en nuestra carrera como emprendedores e incluso en nuestro propio hogar. Al final, lo que expresamos es un reflejo de quiénes somos y de cómo nos presentamos al mundo.
Hoy quiero compartir con ustedes esa respuesta, con la esperanza de que también les haga reflexionar sobre el poder y la magnitud de nuestra voz en la sociedad.

La Influencia del Mundo en Nuestra Creatividad
Vivimos en un mundo lleno de inspiración, tendencias y transformaciones que, muchas veces, nos empujan hacia un espacio ficticio donde creemos que debemos seguir ciertos estilos o modas. No hay culpables en esto; al contrario, es una parte esencial para comprender el entorno y observar de cerca el trabajo de otros creativos.
Sin embargo, es fácil caer en la trampa de copiar o tomar inspiración de manera incorrecta. Para evitarlo, lo primero que debemos hacer es conocernos a nosotros mismos: definir nuestra personalidad, identificar lo que realmente nos gusta y desarrollar nuestra propia teoría artística.
Las redes sociales y el mundo avanzan a una velocidad vertiginosa; las tendencias aparecen y desaparecen en cuestión de días. Lo que hoy es popular, mañana será olvidado. En este panorama acelerado, es fundamental encontrar nuestra voz y ser auténticos en nuestra propuesta creativa.
La Autenticidad en un Mundo de Tendencias Rápidas
Es fascinante cómo los creativos compartimos contenido que proviene de un espacio muy íntimo, pero a veces no recibe la atención del público porque no se asemeja a lo que “está de moda”. Por esta razón, ser libre en nuestra propuesta es crucial:
• Ser genuinos en lo que publicamos.
• Tomar decisiones desde nuestra propia iniciativa.
• Aceptar que no siempre tendremos inspiración, y eso está bien.
Ser auténtico implica no sentir la presión de compartir algo por obligación social o por mantener una apariencia ficticia. Es en esa diferencia donde radica el verdadero poder de transformación. Regresar a lo básico y real es más necesario que nunca.
El Arte como Herramienta de Sanación y Cambio
La libertad creativa debe ser sanadora, un proceso que sume a nuestra perspectiva artística sin el temor de “quedarnos atrás”. El arte tiene el poder de transformar el mundo, pero solo cuando fluye de manera natural y espontánea.
Por eso, me esfuerzo en compartir únicamente cuando realmente tengo algo significativo que decir, sin seguir las reglas de ninguna plataforma social. Ser auténtico no solo enriquece nuestra vida personal, sino que también tiene un impacto positivo en quienes nos rodean:
• Influimos en los espacios y ambientes de otras personas.
• Generamos conexiones más genuinas.
• Nuestras creaciones se vuelven invaluables porque son únicas.
Incluso si sentimos que no tenemos la experiencia o las expectativas de otros, debemos recordar que nuestra obra puede inspirar a alguien de maneras que ni imaginamos. La libertad creativa tiene un potencial infinito y nos impulsa a crecer sin límites.
El Valor de la Libertad Artística
Para mí, ser libre es lo que más valor artístico me aporta. Me da la satisfacción de saber que lo que hago es genuino y que mi contenido es una extensión de mi verdadera esencia. No hay mayor paz mental que saber que eres tú mismo sin pretender ser alguien más.
Crear con libertad nos brinda una recompensa inmensa: transforma nuestro entorno y nos permite dejar huella en el mundo social.
